Information we collect
Seance Shell does not require an account and does not automatically send us analytics, advertising identifiers, saved hosts, usernames, credentials, terminal contents, remote file paths, clipboard contents, screenshots, or usage telemetry.
Information stored on your device
The app stores saved host profiles, imported SSH identities, approved host fingerprints, settings, and other app state locally using platform security facilities. Android uses Keystore-backed encrypted files and disables application backup. iOS uses device-only Keychain records.
Passwords, private-key passphrases, one-time codes, and keyboard-interactive answers are intended to remain transient and are not saved as reusable records.
Network connections
When you connect, the app communicates with the hostname, IP address, proxy, or related service you configured. Those systems and network providers may process connection metadata and terminal or file-transfer traffic under their own policies. Seance Shell does not operate those remote systems.
Information you choose to share
You can explicitly export diagnostics, feedback notes, terminal archives, public keys, or remote files through system sharing and document interfaces. Once shared with another app, destination, or person, that copy is outside Seance Shell's protection. Review exported material before sending it.
Permissions
Internet and network-state access support SSH connections and reconnect handling. Notifications report active sessions and transfers. Foreground-service permissions allow Android to keep visible, user-controlled sessions or transfers active when permitted by the operating system. Biometric access protects identities only when you enable that option.
Retention and deletion
Local records remain until you remove them in the app or delete the app's data. Remove sensitive records in the app before uninstalling; operating systems may retain protected Keychain records for a later reinstall. Data you exported or stored on a remote server must be deleted from that destination separately.
Children
Seance Shell is a developer tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
